Ash

This wood is a creamy white colour, and of moderate weight and hardness, is even and close in the grain, tough, and easily worked. It is an invaluable timber for bent forms. When steamed, it can be bent into any shape without damage to the grain fibres. Has a lovely very pale brown grain pattern and also produces burr growth which provides birds eye figured veneer.
