Rosewood

Brazilian rosewood has been familiar for many year as highly figured and decorative wood, and has been used in the solid and veneer in the finest quality cabinet work. Its colour is a rich reddish brown with black markings giving it a wonderful appearance. A number of different matching methods of laying veneers have been devised to enhance the finished appearance of this exceptional material.

Indian or Bombay rosewood is darker in colour and less figured than Brazilian rosewood, but its quality and beautiful appearance makes it highly suitable for first class use in cabinet making.
