Yew

English Yew is a highly decorative wood. The colour is a pale red similar to Cedar and it has a beautiful lustrous grain, which is sometimes outstanding in its figuring, both solid, and veneer. Occasionally it has a “burr” growth producing wonderful “burr veneers”. It is regarded as a high quality cabinet makers and turner’s wood.
