Sideboards

The sideboard, in its many forms, essentially provides accommodation
for china and cutlery, and served as a side table. Over the years,
Gordon Russell and subsequent designers created many variants on
these straightforward criteria.
From the Arts & Crafts through to modernism, the workshops produced
many outstanding sideboards, ranging from the simple oak sideboards
which formed part of the early Weston dining room, through to the
Burford, Marlow, and Marwood sideboards of the 60s - 80s, which were
veneered in exotic timbers, including Brazilian rosewood and walnut.
