Henry Long

Trained as a Cabinet Maker and furniture designer at the Shoreditch Technical Institute (now London Guildhall University) from 1940 - 44.
Joined Heals as a designer, and went freelance in the 60's, lecturing during this period at the Central School of Arts & Crafts in London.
In 1970 he rejoined Heals as Design Manager of Heals Contracts. In 1972 returned to private practice. 1st Prize winner of the Gordon Russell Furniture Award in 1984.
Worked for the firm as a Consultant Designer, principally on a group of chairs.
