Geoffrey Harcourt

Art and design education at High Wycombe School of Art (1952-55) and the Royal College of Art from 1957 to 1960 where he won a silver medal and a major travelling scholarship to the United States. Started his own design practice in London in 1961. Notable among his clients since then has been the Dutch furniture manufacturer Artifort for whom he had designed a great many programmes of seating, many of which are still in production.
His furniture designs are manufactured under licence in Japan and Italy.
Harcourt's work has been exhibited all over the world and was included in the Royal Society of Art's 1986 exhibition 'Eye for Industry' on the work of RDIs and was featured in the Royal College of Art centennial exhibition.
