Bedsteads

From the earliest days, bedsteads were produced to complement bedroom groups - the first designs by Gordon Russell followed the Arts & Crafts style, and were invariably made in oak. The firm continued to make bedroom furniture well into the late fifties, at which time the demand for groups of bedroom furniture declined. Sir Gordon's own marriage bed may be seen at the Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum.
