Born in 1931 in Denmark. Trained and worked as an ornamental ironworker before becoming an architect and interior designer, attending the University of Fredensberg in Copenhagen, where he graduated in 1958.
In the 1960s he set up a design practice in partnership with Preben Fabricius. Together they designed many furniture classics for Danish and German manufacturers, including models for Walter Knoll in the USA. Jorgen designed desk, tabling and storage systems for Gordon Russell, working in partnership with Kusch and Company, chair manufacturers based in Germany. He died in 2007.
